OSRS Gold Price: What 1M Actually Costs
We checked live per-million prices across the OSRS gold market on July 5, 2026. Here's the real range, what moves it, and how to tell a fair rate from a lowball.
The price, in one line
As of July 5, 2026, OSRS gold runs from about $0.20 to $0.41 per million across verified shops and marketplaces, with a fair mid-market rate sitting near $0.30 per million. Probemas, for reference, prices OSRS gold at $0.33 per million. RS3 gold is far cheaper — roughly $0.026 to $0.04 per million. Rates far below about $0.20 per million are well under market and worth a closer look before buying.
Live price snapshot — July 5, 2026
Every figure below was read off the seller's own live order page on July 5, 2026. Direct shops sell their own stock at a single per-million rate; marketplaces list gold "from" a starting price set by whichever third-party seller is cheapest, so their number is a floor, not a fixed rate. Where a shop only displays a bundle price (for example, per 10M or 30M) rather than a clean per-million rate, we show the bundle exactly as listed rather than back-computing a per-M figure.

What drives the OSRS gold price
The per-million rate isn't arbitrary. A handful of forces set the market price, and understanding them tells you whether a quote is fair:
- Supply and demand. Gold is a commodity. When more gold is flowing into the market than buyers want, the per-million rate drifts down; when supply tightens, it firms up.
- The bond price. The in-game bond sets a rough real-money floor for what a million gold is "worth," and the market tends to track loosely around it.
- The Grand Exchange economy. Broad in-game item inflation and demand shift how much gold players need, which feeds back into the rate. For current in-game item prices, GE Tracker is the standard reference.
Why the quote you get can differ
Two buyers can see two different numbers on the same day. The rate you personally pay moves with:
- Order size. Larger orders are usually cheaper per million — bulk pricing is common.
- Payment method. Some methods carry processing costs that get passed on; crypto discounts show up on a few sites.
- Delivery speed. Instant in-stock delivery can price differently from a slower fulfilment window.
Shops vs marketplaces on price
A direct shop — like Probemas, EZRSGold, or Chicks Gold — sells from its own stock at one published per-million rate. What you see is what you pay. A marketplace — like Eldorado, G2G, or PlayerAuctions — lists many third-party sellers, so its price is a "from" floor and the final rate depends on which seller you pick. Marketplaces tend to show lower starting numbers; direct shops tend to deliver faster and give you a single accountable party. Both models are legitimate — the difference is where accountability sits.
RS3 gold prices
RS3 gold trades at a fraction of the OSRS rate — roughly $0.026 to $0.04 per million as of July 5, 2026. The gap is about the economy, not the seller: RS3's gold supply is much larger and more inflated, so each million is worth far less in real-money terms. Many of the same shops stock both games, priced independently. If you're comparing an OSRS quote against an RS3 one, don't — they're different currencies with different values.
What a fair rate looks like
Put it together and the read is simple. A mid-market OSRS rate sits near $0.30 per million. Prices in the high-$0.20s to mid-$0.30s are normal for established sellers — Probemas at $0.33 per million is a fair, mid-market example. A rate far below about $0.20 per million is well under market, which is worth a closer look at who's behind it before you buy. Cheapest is not automatically best: in a market where the very lowest prices often come from the least-established sites, a fair price from a seller with a verifiable record is usually the better trade.
